others include Harry Gregson-Williams (CHICKEN RUN), Chris Boardman (additional orchestrations on NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS), Heitor Pereirra (guitar solos on MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE 2), Gavin Greenaway (who has written additional music on several Hans Zimmer scores), John Debney who has written scores with Danny Elfman themes twice before (MY FAVORITE MARTIAN and HEARTBREAKERS) and the band Los Lobos. The album is actually quite cool - a strong synthesis of the Elfman and Media Ventures aesthetic. Particularly nice is Elfman's "Buddy Pack Escape" which is a cracking action track that features some of Danny's most linear thrill music in a long time. Chris Boardman builds on Elfman's "Floop Song" theme to give the score some heart in "Floop's Castle". This album is a must have for Elfman fans, despite the brevity of his contributions. "Floop Song (Cruel World)" should please the hard-core crowd (listen hard and I think that's Elfman singing back-up in this creepy confection!) Now, for some soundclips!
