PEE-WEE'S NEXT BIG ADVENTURE
He's a loner, he's a rebel, he's the frantic boy-in-a-man's-body Pee-wee Herman and he's headed back to the big screen. "I've had a nice vacation from Pee-wee and now I'm ready to go back to work rejuvenated," Paul Reubens recently told syndicated columnist Cindy Pearlman. "I know you've read reports that I've retired Pee-wee forever, but it was all lies." He returns to theaters in the superhero comedy MYSTERY MEN, as Spleen Man. He'll also voice Monkeybone in the live action-animated film of the same that stars Brendan Fraser and Rose McGowan and is based on the DARK TOWN graphic novel by Kaja Blackley. Reubens says his upcoming Disney film will be "Pee-wee's autobiography," and will "show what happens when Pee-wee gets famous and it changes his life completely." POSITION IMPOSSIBLE!
It was all but expected - Danny Elfman would collaborate with John Woo on the next MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE picture. After all, the music Danny Elfman provided for the film was among it's highlights and marked a new approach for Danny in scoring films. However it has been confirmed that Woo will once again work with Hans Zimmer. Their past collaboration was on BROKEN ARROW (Zimmer did not score Woo's FACE/OFF but Media Ventures member John Powell did). This news came the same week that confirmation that Nicolai Piovani would score HOOFBEATS and not Danny Elfman. A bad week for fans indeed! THE STINK OVER INSTINCT
